Seattle showing the country how it’s done, this is an excellent example of how to clean up a city and put a dent in solving the issue of homelessness.

What’s absolutely amazing is that this grassroots organization started out by cleaning up a park or two downtown and within months they have not only taken on cleaning up left-behinds from abandoned homeless encampments across the inner city but more importantly they are getting people connected with services and off the streets too.

What began as an idea is now an organization that has direct access to public and private assistance for the homeless, that’s facilitating the removal of thousands of pounds of garbage being picked up weekly by an army of volunteers.
