If you are looking for a neighborhood not too far from the center of Seattle, that has mid-century properties and plenty of shopping and services, you’ll want to consider Shoreline.

In addition to hosting a COSTCO, and Home Depot in the same lot, and a Central Market, Shoreline also offers an easy route to the Kingston Ferry, the I-5 corridor, and in the not too distant future a light rail stop and station.

In this instance this property took a little longer than expected to sell.  Primarily it needed updating the owner wasn’t able to undertake. Fortunately, I was able to get new carpeting installed which seemed to do the trick.  There is also a cautionary tale about doing deep renovation work without a permit – ask me about it.
Shoreline
I particularly like the large south-facing window, and sloped flat room.  It sold for $608,000 in the summer of 2018 and commanded a steady but respectable increase in value according to Redfin’s estimates.
Great schools. Easy commute. Lot’s of shopping possibilities to the North and South.  Entry-level or dream home – don’t overlook Shoreline, WA.
