Not the “cheapest” by any means, but I always feel like I got what I paid for. They have an excellent assortment of bulk foods, honey and organic fruits and vegetables. You won’t miss the meat counter (try the lamb stew meat) or legit Alaskan King Crab legs (too pricey for me but whoa Nelly).
The cheese and smoked meat department is exceptional with a serious variety of hams, salami, and cheeses from around the globe.
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and if you are a self-check out type, they have four fast moving lanes. If you are in the North end … it’s Central Market.
