Last year I had a conversation at an open house with a perspective new buyer. She and her family had been looking at homes for several weeks and she was discouraged. “I think we’re just going to wait. This is crazy”. The pace and prices were beginning to deter buyers then and it looks like it’s finally taken root. This may or may not be the new normal, but I’m encouraging my buyers to look now. Prices are moderating, concessions can be had, but it’s likely to be temporary and certainly, a decline isn’t anticipated.
